ICD-Code G31.82: Lewy body(ies)(dementia)(disease)

You have Lewy body dementia.

With Lewy body dementia, certain proteins are deposited in the brain. The nerve cells in the brain also become damaged. A range of symptoms may occur, depending on which areas of the brain are damaged. You may no longer be able to concentrate or remember things as well as you once did. You may keep getting very sleepy or your perceptions may be impaired. Vivid dreams and hallucinations are also typical of this disorder. The person may then no longer be able to execute certain movements as quickly as normal. As a result, keeping one’s balance may also become difficult. In addition, the hands may shake or the muscles stiffen.
