ICD-Code I86.2: Pelvic varices
Veins in your pelvis have become widened.
The veins carry blood from the pelvic organs towards the heart. The pelvic organs include the bladder and the lower section of the intestines, for example. Veins can become widened if the blood is no longer able to drain normally. Various veins from the different organs in the pelvis may be affected.
Widened veins in the pelvis may cause pain in the pelvis, back or legs. The pain may be more intense during prolonged standing or during sex. But it may be that you have no problems at all.
