You have damage to the joint cartilage in your hand.
The hand is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The hand can be divided into 3 sections. The wrist (carpus) is directly connected to the forearm. Then comes the metacarpus and then the individual fingers.
The bones in a joint are covered with cartilage. When the joint is moved, the cartilage prevents the bones from rubbing against one another. The cartilage is normally strong and elastic, with a smooth surface.
When the cartilage in the joint is damaged, you may have some pain. It may also be more difficult to move the joint. But it may also be that you have no problems at all.
