At the wrist, the forearm bones, the ulna and radius, articulate with several bones of the hand. The ulna and radius are each connected to the hand via their own joint. There is also another joint between the ends of the ulna and the radius.The joint between the ends of your ulna and your radius may also have stiffened up.
Joints may get stiff due to inflammation, for example. This can result in scars that restrict movement. The bones in the joint may also grow too much so that they impede movement. When a joint stiffens up completely, it becomes impossible to move.
