ICD-Code Q55.3: Atresia of vas deferens
You have a congenital obstruction in one or both of your vas deferens (sperm ducts).
The vas deferens transport sperm from the testicles to the urethra. The sperm emerge via the urethra.
While developing in the womb, many different types of tissue develop in the body. The organs and body parts develop out of the various types of tissue.
If the vas deferens have not developed properly, they may be blocked. This can cause problems with transporting sperm out of the body.
