The uterus or womb sits in the pelvis and is pear-shaped. The narrower part extends downward into the vagina and is called the cervix. When a woman is pregnant, the child grows in her uterus.
To identify the diseased tissue, your uterus was examined from the inside using ultrasound. For this purpose, an ultrasound probe was inserted into the uterus through the vagina and cervix. Then the diseased tissue was destroyed using heat. During this type of procedure, the destroyed tissue is then typically suctioned out and removed.
