OPS-Code 5-759.01:
Other birth-assisting operations: Other birth-assisting operations: Tamponade of uterus and vagina: With insertion of tamponade balloon
Bleeding in your uterus or vagina was stopped.
The uterus or womb sits in the pelvis and is pear-shaped. The narrower part extends downward into the vagina and is called the cervix. When a woman is pregnant, the child grows in her uterus.
To stop the bleeding, a balloon was inserted. The balloon was then filled with a fluid. The balloon is intended to apply pressure to the blood vessels, and in this way stop the bleeding.
