OPS-Code 5-781.8k:

Operations on other bones: Osteotomy and corrective osteotomy: Complex (multi-dimensional) osteotomy: Proximal tibia

During surgery, the upper section of your shinbone was cut.

There are 2 bones in the lower leg, the tibia and the fibula. The tibia is on the inside of the leg. The fibula is on the outside of the leg. Both bones in the lower leg have an upper, middle and lower section. The upper section of the shinbone forms the knee joint together with the thighbone and the kneecap.

The upper section of your shinbone was cut in such a way that the shinbone could be moved to a different position. Your shinbone was then stabilized again. Plates and screws, for example, can be used to stabilize the bone again.
