OPS-Code 5-781.8t:

Operations on other bones: Osteotomy and corrective osteotomy: Complex (multi-dimensional) osteotomy: Calcaneus

During surgery, your heel bone was cut.

The foot is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The lower leg is connected to the tarsus. Then comes the metatarsus and then the individual toes. The heel bone is one of the tarsal bones. It is located at the back of the foot. The calcaneus, or heel bone, can be felt on the outside of the heel.

The heel bone can be cut to change the alignment of the bones in the foot. The heel bone is then stabilized again, for example, with screws.
