There are different parts to the humerus. The top end is connected to the shoulder blade in the shoulder joint. In the middle of the humerus there is a long, straight section. The lower end is connected to the forearm in the elbow joint.The bone substitute was inserted at the upper end of your thighbone.

A specialized material was used for the bone substitute. Over time, this material can be broken down by the body and replaced with you own bone tissue.
