During surgery, your wrist was fused.
At the wrist, the forearm bones, the ulna and radius, articulate with several bones of the hand. The ulna and radius are each connected to the hand via their own joint. There is also another joint between the ends of the ulna and the radius.
If your wrist is damaged, it can cause various symptoms. The symptoms can occur when you move the joint, for example. To prevent these problems, the bones in the wrist can be fused together in a favorable position. Typically, a plate or a rod, as well as bone material, is used for this purpose.
