The foot is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The lower leg is connected to the tarsus. Then comes the metatarsus and then the individual toes.The tarsus consists of 7 tarsal bones. The tarsal bones form the rear part of the foot.The lower ankle joint is located between the tarsal bones.
Improving the mobility of a joint might involve removing scars or adhesions from the joint, for example. Parts of the synovial membrane may also be removed.Joints are encased in a joint capsule.The synovial membrane lines the inside of the joint capsule.Your operation was carried out via an arthroscopy.
An arthroscopy first involves making a small incision in the skin. A thin tube is advanced through this incision. There is a camera at the top of the tube. The camera transmits images of the inside of the joint to a screen. Instruments such as forceps and scissors can be inserted into the joint through other small incisions.
