During an operation, diseased tissue on a tendon in your shoulder joint area was removed.
The shoulder joint is the joint between the shoulder blade and the humerus.Tendons are made up of very firm connective tissue. Tendons attach muscles to bones.
The procedure was carried out as an arthroscopy.An arthroscopy first involves making a small incision in the skin. A thin tube is advanced through this incision. There is a camera at the top of the tube. The camera transmits images of the inside of the joint to a screen. Instruments such as forceps and scissors can be inserted into the joint through other small incisions.
