You have received treatment for the pain in your spine.
The spine is made up of the individual vertebrae. Between every 2 vertebrae there is a vertebral disc.At the top and bottom of each there are 2 transverse processes. Along with the processes of adjacent vertebrae, these transverse processes form the small vertebral joints. The vertebral joints connect adjacent vertebrae to one another.
During the treatment, nerve fibers were blocked. These fibers transmit pain information from the facet joints. Heat or cold was used to shut the nerve fibers down. To do this, a needle was inserted through the sin on your spine, and a probe was then guided to the painful sites. A probe is a rod-shaped device. You had this type of procedure on two vertebrae.
