A large wound on your hand was closed, or a significant scar was revised.
A Z-shaped incision was made in the affected area on your hand. This creates two triangles, each of which remains connected to the remaining skin on one side. The free sides of the triangle were then shifted against each other and reconnected to the skin. Thread, clips or a special glue can be used to do this, for example. The affected area of the skin is longer as a result of the shifted sections. This is important, for example, for maintaining or restoring the mobility of the hand.
