OPS-Code 5-98k.1:
Special surgical techniques and operations in special care situations: Type of cystoscope: Single use flexible cystoscope
A flexible tube was used for the endoscopy of your bladder.
The bladder sits low down in the abdomen and collects the urine. The urine is produced in the two kidneys. The urine flows from the kidneys into the bladder via the ureters. When you pass water, the urine flows from the bladder via the urethra and out.
The endoscopy typically involves the flexible tube being inserted through the urethra and then advanced further. Small instruments can also be inserted through the tube.
